- This beetle sucks of all the water from the root —> this low supply of water to the plants so leaves gets dry and loss of yield
Measures to curb this
- Building good shade —> so that beetle cant lay eggs
- Identifying the infested plants, uprooting them and burning them
- Spraying once in April-may with chlorpyrifos 20 EC at 600 ml in 200 liters of water with 200 ml of wetting agent

The frog belongs to genus Micryletta, (a small genus of microhylid frogs).
As of now, there are only 4 recognised species in this group and newly discovered Micryletta aishani becomes the 5th.

- New tortoise species was discovered at Arunachal Pradesh —> it was known as the impressed tortoise

- The impressed tortoise belongs to the Chelonian order and manouria genus
- Chelonian is an order of reptiles that includes—> tortoise, terrapins and turtles
- Till date only 2 species of tortoises are discovered in India under the manouria genus
- Manouria genus includes —> the Asian forest tortoise and impressed tortoise
- Asian forest tortoise —> is considered to be the largest tortoise in mainland Asia and its found only in the north east of India
- The north east of india is considered as a very rich eco systems for turtles, terrapins and tortoises which belong to the Chelonian order
- As of today there are 29 non Marine Chelonian species found in India —>as of them 21 are found in North east of india only
- The impressive tortoise is 1/3 rd of the size of the Asian forest tortoise
Impressed Tortoise (Manouria Impressa) is categorized as vulnerable in IUCN Red List Status.

- The vespersaurus was a theropod, a group of two footed, meat eating dinosaurs that included better knwon tyrannosaurus and velociraptor
