What is ejaculation?
A
the penis is inserted into the vagina and the man moves it backwards and forwards. This stimulate the penis to pump semen out into the top of the vagina.

What is implantation?
A
The fertilised egg cell divides into two. Those two divide into two. They keep dividing and form a ball of cells as they travel towards the uterus.
In the uterus, the ball of cells (the embryo) sinks into the soft lining.

Does the blood of the mother and the baby ever mix?
A
Never! The mother’s blood is being pumped around her body under a lot of pressure. This much pressure would damage the embryo’s blood vessels.

What is the placenta?
A
A plate-shaped organ attached to the uterus lining.
