Where and how do hippos live
Rivers, lakes, and swamps. A bull will preside over up to 30 females. Though they live in groups they are not social animals and do not maintain relationships with one another. They stay in water during the day and venture onto land at night.
Facts about a hippos mouth-
The teeth are self sharpening. The canines can be over a foot long. They are not used for eating- only for fighting. Their mouths can open a full 180 degrees

Hippos change/influence their ecosystems in several ways.
Their poop provides nutrient rich food to fish and other animals that have no access to land. Some ecosystems rely on hippo poop. They also create paths through forests and even divert swamps and rivers with their movement because they are so large and walk the same path daily.
What preys on giraffes?
Lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, and African wild dogs. Though because of their powerful kicks and great eyesight they are not any predators first choice.
What do giraffes use their necks for?
Necking is how giraffes fight. They hit their necks together while deciding dominance and fighting over mates. Necking can last up to 30 minutes. Usually no serious injuries occur. After fighting, the giraffes usually caress each other, as though to make peace.
What is the social makeup of giraffe herds.
Females generally herd together, with males herding separately, though mixed groups have been observed. They will herd together in groups of up to 45 individuals. Herds change constantly.
