Animal And Plant Cells Flashcards
What is in a plant cell?
Cell membrane, ribosomes, cell wall, mitochondria, cytoplasm, permanent vacuole and a nucleus.
What is in a animal cell
Cell membrane, ribosomes, mitochondria, cytoplasm and a nucleus.
What does a plant cell have that an animal cell doesn’t.
Cell wall and a permanent vacuole.
What is the role of the nucleus?
It controls the cell
What is the role of the cytoplasm?
It is where reactions take place
What is the role of a cell membrane?
It controls what enters and exits the cell.
What is the role of the mitochondria?
They release energy from sugar
What are ribosomes?
They produce protiens
What are the plant cell walls made of ?
Cellulose
What is the role of the chloroplast?
They absorb sunlight for photosynthesis.
What is the role of the permanent vacuole ?
It stores water / cell sap and it supports the plant by keeping cells rigid.
