- Woven sheep cloths trading
- Eastern england had fertile land
- Exporting of iron, wool, cheese
- Importing of silver, gold and wine

- Everyone farmed and treated wheat etc.
- Exchange economies
- People learned weaving and pottery.
- Goods taken down to markets

- Burhs were the trading centres.
- Coastal towns had international trading. eg. york - denmark
- Major towns had mints that produced coins.
