Sublingual nitroglycerin
A
MECHANISM
Causes peripheral vasodilation which causes blood to pool in the legs. Reduces the work of the heart.
SIDE EFFECTS
Dizziness, flushing headache, reflex tachycardia
PRECAUTIONS
Patient must be sitting when taking SL nitro.
If 3 tablets=no relief then call 911.
