They delivered the message to Mary that she was to have the Christ-child. (Luke 1:26-38). They proclaimed Jesus as savior before the shepherds (Luke 2:13). They helped strengthen Jesus at his Gethsemane trials (Luke 22:43). They were ready to fight for him (Matthew 26:53). Angels are involved in human spiritual growth and our mission of spreading the gospel (Hebrews 1:14). They will, when God desires it, even sometimes rescue us from physical dangers (Acts 12:7; 27:23-24). They rejoice when one sinner repents around the PW and earns the prophesied salvation (Luke 15:10). An angel commissioned Philip to go and meet the Ethiopian eunuch so he could be saved (Acts 8:26). They also are involved in caring for believers when they die (Luke 16:22).
How are the angels used by God in the judgment of unbelievers?
They tell lot to get out of Sodom before destroying it (Genesis 19:12-13). They sometimes inflict punishment (Acts 12:23). At the end of the age, they gather the unrighteous for judgment (Matthew 13:41-42).
Who is Satan?
It means “adversary”. He is a fallen, wicked angel, perhaps a cherub, though this is uncertain (Ezekiel 28:14).
