E: Essential for erythropoiesis. Stimulates WBC and Plts in pts with megaloblastic anemias.

F: fiber increased E: eggs, milk, coffee NO!! O: on empty stomach S: stra for stained teeth O: tOmato juice, vit C, strawberry L: bLack stools
Iron Dextran/Imfed
I: injection site hurts/into buttocks/increase vit C
M: makes blood/make sure check Hct and Hgb. 4-8 weeks results.
F: Flush vein after administration and have her lay down bc of orthostatic hypotension/Fever/Flushing/Fatal cardiac arrhythmias
E: Epi on hand for anaphylaxis
D: Difficulty breathing, pain and redness. hives and headaches REPORTED
Potassium Iodide/SSKI/Lugol’s solution
P: PO with meals/potassium levels
O: cOnfused (poisoning)
T: thins secretions
A: angioedema/arthralgias/F/abdominal pain, distention
S: Stomatitis (poisoning)/stools bloody
S: Salty taste (dilute in water/juice-decreased GI distress)
I: Intake of milk is avoided/increase fluids
U: mucus viscosity decreased
M: metallic taste in mouth (poisoning)/milk avoided
