Consuls
Consuls often commanded the army, and they oversaw all of Rome’s affairs and interests, in times of crisis, one of them could become a dictator and hold supreme power, there were two.
Praetors
A praetor was a judicial officer who held broad power, managed the public games, and held an extent of authority over the government in the absence of the consul(s). There were 16 of them.
Aediles
Aediles oversaw the maintenance of public buildings and regulated public festivals. There were 6 of them
Quaestors
Quaestors had the primary responsibility of handling the treasury as its custodian. There were 2 of them.
Censors
Censors supervised public morals and kept the list of citizens as well as their tax obligations. They could mark down or remove people from the citizens list. There were 2 of them.
Tribunes
Tribunes had the power to summon the plebians, propose bills to be voted on, and pass resolutions or laws, and in the military commanded troops. There were 10 of them politically and 6 per legion in the military.
