The geographical features of Crete, such as being an island with no big rivers, made it hard for other people to attack the Minoans since they had no walls around their towns and palaces

Most were farmers. Some fishermen. The Minoans were clever craftsmen. They made pottery, bronze goods and jewellery.

They traded olive oil, wine and the things they made with them.
Religion followed by Minoans?
The Minoans prayed to the Mother Goddess and to the Bull. Large houses had special places where ppl worshiped their god, ppl also used caves for worship.
How did the Minoan civil end?
In about 1450 BC a volcano probably blew up and destroyed the land of Crete.
Beginning of the Mycenaeans
In 2000 BC some Aryan ppl from the north made their home in Greece. They were fierce people with rough tools made of bronze and stone. They built small but strong towns with walls of huge stones to keep out enemies.

Their most important town was Mycenae
Where did some Mycenaeans leave Greece for?
They left Greece and made their homes in Italy, Asia Minor, and Cyprus
