Where are the pyramids in Egypt.
In Cairo there are tall buildings, shops, offices and traffic but only 12 km away are where the pyramids are which were built 4500 yrs ago.
How did the Nile help the Egyptian civilization?
Nile helped the civilization with fertile mud. Every year the river flooded the entire valley, which help grow crops.
What were the chief crops?
wheat, fruit and vegtables
How did the Nile help the government?
The Nile helped the government to rule and work together. It also helped them to travel.
What was an unusual belief abt the Nile in the Egyptian religion?
The Egyptian religion said that the fish were unclean so the priests wouldnt eat any but the ordinary were glad to.
what were the types of transports to sail on the Nile?
There were very small boats made of reeds and bigger wooden boatto carry goods, there were warships too.
How did the Nile help with farming?
The Nile helped water the crops. The people dug canals through their fields, the canals were filled with water from the riverby a machine called Shadoof.
How did ppl have fun on the river?
The Egyptians loved having fun on the the river they especially loved hunting the birds that lived in the reeds.
Why did the Egyptian civilization not change for nearly 3000 yrs
The Egyptian civilization didnt change as not many new ideas and inventions were brought to Egypt.
How do we know about Egypt’s past?
We know abt ancient Egypt as the Egyptians wrote a lot abt their everyday lives They described life at home farming, fishing, building, playing, working ect. We also know what the Egyptians used like clothes, furniture, jewels as the kept these in their Tombs.
what were the 2 types of writing
1 was little pictures, this writing was used for tombs, temples and palaces. It was slow and difficult. The other was more simple, it was used for everyday work.
