Inundation is the first season in Ancient Egypt, it is also known as Ahket. This season is the season in which the Nile floods.

It was very important to Ancient Egyptians that the human body was well preserved. A method of artificial preservation that was used was mummification. Mummification was offered to anyone who could afford to pay for the process of preserving the body for the afterlife.
