- The Shang dynasty contributed to the modern world
- It started 1650-1027 B.C.E.
- They divided the land into areas protected by nobles
- There were horse-drawn chariots and bronze weapons
- They were also able to grow a surplus of food that came from the rich soil, this was good for trading.
- They created an form of writing that became chinese writing system.
- They also created pottery.
- They also had skilled metal workers that made molds to reproduce artifacts.
- Shang also knew how to make silk.
- The Shang also contributed to the modern religion.

How did Chinese civilization survive rebellions and foreign attacks during 1000 C.E. to 1650 C.E.?

- In the Song dynasty’s year created a government and many laws that were strictly enforced by magistrates.
- In the Song dynasty age they also let smaller class people represent their provinces as long as they passed the examination.
- In the Yuan dynasty they put people into three different races such as Mongols, Chinese and others.
- The arts kept flourishing and so on in the all the dynasty’s especially the Song.
- The Ming was the last dynasty before the dynasty period ended.
- Even though Taisu the ruler was cruel he came in with a bad economy because of the mongols/Yang.
- he destroyed a lot of China’s opponents.
- He also made close countries pay a moneys or gift so that they could stay at peace with China this was called a tribute.
