Anatomy Of The Heart Flashcards
Is the main artery that carries blood away from your heart to the rest of the body
AORTA
Supplies the left lung
LEFT PULMONARY ARTERY
Supplies the right lung
RIGHT PULMONARY ARTEY
Drains your left lungs upper lobe and your lingula
LEFT PULMONARY VEINS SUPERIOR
Drains your left lungs lower lobe
LEFT PULMONARY VEINS INFERIOR
Drains your right lungs upper lobe and middle lobe
RIGHT PULMONARY VEINS SUPERIOR
Drains your right lungs lower lobe
RIGHT PULMONARY VEINS INFERIOR
It collects deoxygenated blood as it leaves the lungs and moves the blood inti the left ventricle
AURICLE OF LEFT ATRIUM
Collects deoxygenated blood from the bloodstream and moves into the hearts right ventricle
RIGHT AURICLE
Is a groove - e.g. occipto-parietal sulcus between the corresponding lobes of the cerebrum in the case of the brain
FATS AND VESSELS IN CORONARY SULCUS
Pumps oxygenated blood from lungs to body
APEX OF HEART
Carries blood from the head, neck, arms and chest
SUPERIOR VENA CAVA
Carries blood from the legs, feet, and organs in the abdomen and pelvis
INFERIOR CENA CAVA
Is responsible for draining most of the deoxygenated blood leaving the myocardium
CORONARY SINUS
Its main function is to supply the diaphragmatic surface of the myocardium and inventricular sulcus of the heart
FATS AND VESSELS IN POSTERIOR INVENTRICULAR SULCUS
