What is the modiolus?
area where extrinsic perioral muscles decussate to join intrinsic fibres of the orb. oris
What is the significance of the modiolus when it comes to RPD?
very forceful area which can influence the labial flange thickness of the denture
Red and blue lines?
blue: anatomy depth, want to be 2mm short of the red line
red: functional depth of sulcus
avoid muscles or bony areas
