Q

what role do the perforating veins play in blood traveling in the legs?

A

the lower limbs have superficial and deep veins. the deep veins are found in the muscles and the superficials are found on the surface. connecting them is the perforating veins. when the muscles contract, the blood is pushed from the veins superficially toward the heard. when the muscles are relaxed, thats when the blood is allwed to move from the superficial veins and fill up the deep veins passively and wait for another contraction. the perforating veins are the gobetween.
