Anatomy and Physiology Module 1.2. Flashcards
How do gross anatomy and microscopic anatomy differ?
gross anatomy examines structures that can be seen with the unaided eye, such as organs and organ systems.
microscopic anatomy require the aid of a microscope.
(Topics: histology, cytoloy)
How are physiological specializations classified?
according to the organ or organ system being studied.
i.e. neurophysiology studies the brain and nerves (neuro- = “nerve”), and cardiovascular physiology studies the heart and blood vessels.
