Anatomy Flashcards
Name the layers of the abdominal wall
Skin, campers, scarpas
Above the arcuate line:
External oblique, internal oblique, transersus, transversalis :: forming ant and post rectus heath wrapping around rectus abdominus,
periperitoneal fat
periotoneum
Bellow the arcuate line:
External oblique, internal oblique, transversus, transversalis. the transversalis fascia goes behind the rectus abdominus
What are the layers of the scrotum?
Skin, Dartos muscle and fascia, External spermatic fascia, cremasteric fascia, Internal spermatic fascia, Tunica vaginalis, Tunica albuginea
What is the blood supply of the testicle?
Testicula artery, Cremasteric artery, artery to ductus deferens
What is the blood supply of the adrenal gland?
Superior Supra-renal artery( off inferior phrenic artery)
Middle Supra-renal artery( off abdominal Aorta)
Inferior Supra-renal artery ( off renal artery)
What are the layers of the penis?
skin, superficial(darto’s fasica), Deep(buck’s) fascia, tunica albuginea
What is the venous drainage of the testicle?
small parenchymal veins –> differential veins –> pampinoform plexus –> on the right to IVC and left to the renal vein
What is the lymphatic drainage of the testicle?
Para-aortic and interaortocaval lymphnodes
What is the primary imaging modality of the scrotum?
Ultrasound
What are the different components of the blood testis barrier?
1- anatomic( tight junctions between sertoli cells)
2- functional component
what are the two primary cell types in the epididymis?
1- Principal Cells
2- Basal Cells
What is the arterial supply of the epidiymis?
1- Testicular artery ( caput and corpus)
2- differential artery ( Cauda )
What is the venous drainage of the epididymis?
Vena marginalis of Habeer –> pampinofrom plexus
What is the size of the vas deferens?
0.2 to 0.7 mm
What is the arterial supply of the vas deferens?
The artery to the vas deferens(deferential artery) - off superior vesical artery
