Anatomy Flashcards
What are the origin and insertion of the omotranversarius muscle?
The transverse processes of the cranial cervical vertebrae to the intersection of the cleidomastiodeus and the cleidobrachialis. It is also joined by fascia to the cervical trapizeus.
What is the origin and insertion of the brachiocephalic muscle.
The mastiod region of the skull to the humerus just distal to the deltiod tuberosity.
What is the innervation of the brachiocephalicus muscle?
Accessory, cervical and axillary nerves.
What are the origin and insertion of the cervical trapizeus muscle?
The dorsal midline from poll to withers inserting on the spine of the scapula.
What is the innervation of the trapizeus muscle?
Accessory nerve
Describe the path of the accessory nerve.
It has two roots. One from the first five spinal nerves that runs in the subarchniod space thru the foramen magnum to join the cranial root that comes from the medulla. It then joins the vagus and leaves the skull thru the juglar foramen.
What muscles are supplied by the accessory nerve?
Trapizeus, brachiocephalic, omotransversarius
The recurrent laryngeal nerve is a branch of which cranial nerve?
CN X, vagus
What is the innervation to the serratus ventralis?
The long thoracic nerve.
What is the innervation to the latissimus dorsi?
The thoracodorsal nerve.
What is the innervation to the subclavius muscle?
The cranial and caudal pectroal nerves.
What does the lateral thoracic nerve innervate?
The cutaneous trunci muscle and the skin of the ventral thorax and abdomen.
What does the suprascapular nerve innervate?
Supra and infraspinatus muscles.
What innervates the biceps brachii?
The musculocutaneous nerve.
The cutaneous branch of the musculocutaneous nerve continues to the ……?
Fetlock
