Inferiorly: Medial and Lateral Heads of gastrocnemius
Floor: Popliteus, Femur
Roof: Fascia and skin
Contents:
- Popliteal artery and Vein
- Sciatic (Tibial and common peroneal nerves)
Popliteal lymph nodes and lymphatic vessels
Pes Anserinus.

- “gooses foot” (Latin)
Formed by the insertion of:
- Sartorius
- Gracilis
- SemiTendinosus

Function: Medial Knee Stability

Boundaries:
Superiorly: Inguinal Ligament
Laterally: Sartorius
Medially: Adductor Longus
Floor: Iliopsoas, pectineus
Roof: Fascia lata, covered by hypodermis and skin
· Contents: Femoral Nerve, Artery & Vein · Openings: Superiorly: deep to proximal ligament Function: Communication

Boundaries:
Laterally: Vastus Mediallus
Posteriorly: Adductor Longus/ magnus
Medially and roof: Sartorious
