Can’t see, can’t pee, can’t climb a tree
- Conjunctivitis.
- Non-gonococcal urethritis.
- Asymmetrical oligoarthritis.
- Oligoarthritis = 2-4 joints affected during the first six months of the disease.

Why does gout occur more commonly in the evening?
A
Lower body temperature ⇒ formation of uric acid crystals.

Does gout mean the patient has hyperuricemia?
A
- No.
- Nearly half of the time gout occurs without hyperuricemia and most people with raised uric acid levels never develop gout.

- The most important DDx for gout is….
- How can they be differentiated?
A
- Septic arthritis.
- This should be considered in those with signs of infection or those who do not improve with treatment.

A
- Gout = needle shaped.
- Pseudogout = rhomboidal.
