1
Q

Overview of the structure of the full respiratory system?

Q

The structure of the bronchial tree?

A
  • Primary, secondary and tertiary bronchus (surrounded by cartilage)
  • bronchiole covered by smooth muscle
  • becomes terminal bronchiole
  • leading to the respiratory zone (alveoli)
(C-shapes cartilage, stops collapsing/bronchioles lose cartilage and have SM for expansion/ alveoli increases SA)
