A

Anarchism is the believe of there being a strong rejection of state control and authority of peoples freedoms. People should be free from state control.

What is the anarchist belives on human nature?

A

-The view that people are egotistical in nature and that we are selfish in behaviour due to our ego. As seen by Max Stirner who was a strong advocate for people being more self-interested

-Secondly another view is that there is a blank view of human nature stating that humans are born without any innate characteristics which mean that society shapes who they really are as seen by Mikhail Bakunin who stated that it depend on our life experience in order for people to shape us.

-Finally another view of human nature is that there is a positive view of human nature stating that human are naturally good. EVIDENCE= Emma Goldman who stated that people are capable of moral perfection.

The state views?

A

=State is evil- Bakunin was among those who viewed the state as evil, corrupting and oppressive.He stated that the state should be destroyed. State was according the bakunin the agent of capitalist.

Proudhon had a different view that state represses and limits the indidvidual at every turn. As people are spied upon

=State is unnecessary-Anarcho communists argue that state is not necessary. Peter Kropotkin argued for a small commune were the best form of voluntary association. Foods not bombs

What do anarchist reject about the state?

A

-Government by consent=Dont agree that state is legitimate so individuals are sovereign and would never freely surrender any of their power. State erodes people right.

-Representaitve democracy=Anarchist believe in representative democracy are a better option than monarchs but stated how they can divide people and lead to seperations. so wary of welfare states.

-Direct democracy=People tend to vote out their self interests rather than in a collective community.

-Religion=Organised religion is another unwanted and unnecessary source of authority stems from belief that religions have been constructed by mankind as a way of controlling the religion masses. Bakunin

What do collectivist anarchist believe in?

A

They are committed in ensuring that there is a common market where free market is replaced. It will lead to workers to corporate.

What do individualist believe in?

A

Where individuals are self seeking and want to be left alone to pursue their own self interests. Max stormer believed in this and that the right of private property is our economic motivation.

Individual anarchist characteristics?

A

-Ego=character of a person which is involved only in itself.
-Anarcho capitalism= they want more of a laissez-faire capitalism. Also want individuals to have negative freedom and be atomistic.
They want people to have free choice

A

Mutualism= A theory that creatures are social and work together. Peter kropotkin argued that people are sociable and prefer collective activity.
Creates equality and ensures resources are collectively owned. Anarcho communism
Also involves Anarcho syndicalism.
