A
Anal bleeding (bright red) Anal pain (severe, sharp) - especially on defecation. Deep burning pain may follow for several hours after

Anal fissure management
A
Analgesics
Topical lidocaine 5% ointment
Rectal GTN 0.4% ointment for primary anal fissure for more than 1 week with no improvement
Sit in warm, shallow bath several times a day
Correct anal hygiene
Surgery - internal sphincterotomy
