Presentation

• Hyperthermia/ fever
• Muscle rigidity
• Metabolic acidosis
• Raised HR
• Increased exhaled CO2

How dose alcohol dependency affect anaesthesia?

Answer 3

Usually need larger doses of induction agent for anaesthesia

Risk of seizures post-op (alcohol withdrawal)
