What are the two types of capnography units?
A
A mainstream unit, or a sidestream unit

What is the difference between a sidestream and a mainstream capnography unit?
A
A mainstream unit samples C02 in line with everything else and gives a reading in real time, with no delay
A sidestream unit takes a sample from the patient, and analyses it before giving a reading, meaning there is a slightly delay

What is a Merlin ventilator?
A
A ventilator used in veterinary practice - it can delivery tidal volumes from 1-800ml, and can be used for patients from 50g to 70kg
