Etiology and Pathogenesis of Anaerobic periproctatis
-due to clostridial and nonclostridial bacteria
In the Pathogenesis disturbances of immunity take part
Often the disease occurs with DM
Forms of anaerobic periproctitis
Putrefactive
Progressive gangrenous
With anaerobic lymphangitis
Clinical picture of anaerobic periproctitis
-disease starts with high temperature 38-40degrees celcius
-sharp pain in the anus
In 3-7days in the area of the perineum and genitals cutaneos edema with necrosis of skin and subcutaneous fat occurs and spreads quickly
The patients are in grave condition, intoxication is full blown
Diagnosis of anaerobic periproctitis
Based on questioning and survey
On labs anemia of peripheral blood, leukocytosis and hyperproteinemia
Gas liquid chromatography and microscopy of smear are done
Result of bacteriological exam in 5-7days
