Who is Samuel?
Samuel is someone in the Bible who was seen as some who wasn’t self willed and was willing to be used by god.
Who is Hannah?
Hannah is Samuels mother, who was barren and prayed for a son and promised that she would dedicated the child’s life to serving god. Her prayers were answered and she kept her promise.
Who is Eli?
Eli was the priest that Samuel worked for in the temple. Eli had sons who were next in line to be the priest, but decided that they didn’t want to serve god and turned to wickedness and sin. Eli didn’t correct or discipline them, which then them to sin more and god to be angry at all of them.
How was Samuel conceived?
Hannah prayed for a son and promised that she would dedicate his life to the lord and she was granted Samuel and kept her promise.
Why was god angry at Eli?
Because he was not being the parent he should have been.
After he came of age what did Samuel do?
He went away to work at the temple with Eli.
Why should you discipline your children?
God will be angry otherwise.
What path did Eli sons choose?
The path of wickedness and sin.
What did Eli have to do with his children’s decision to not serve god?
He didn’t correct or discipline them.
Why was Samuel useful to god?
Because he was: • honest • trustworthy • had a testimony • obedient
