The amplitude is the distance from the res line to the top of a crest or the bottom of a through. It is given by the symbol A.

You can calculate the amplitude by measuring the size of the crests or troughs
What is meant by the wavelength of a wave?
The wavelength of a wave is the distance between two consecutive crests or troughs. It is given by symbol λ.

How do you calculate a wavelength for a transverse wave from a diagram?
Find the length from Crest to crest or trough to trough (Length until it repeats itsself)
How do you calculate a wavelength for a longitudical wave?
Find the distance between two consecutive compressions or rarefractions.
What does a wavefront diagram represent?
A wavefront diagram is representing a wave, it either represents the crest or the trough.
What does a circular wavefront represent?
A circular wavefront represents a wave per two consecutive circles.
