Why are you allowed to add an amendment to the constitution?

A

When the framers wrote the constitution they realized it wasn’t perfect. They wrote that you can propose an amendment.

A
  1. Congress proposes it and votes with a 2/3 majority

2. Congress calls for a convention and at least 2/3 of the state legislature vote to change it
