Contraindications
Sinus Bradycardia
Second or third degree AV block
Side effects
CNS: dizziness, fatigue
Respiratory: pulmonary edema
CV: Bradycardia, hypotension, prolonged QT interval
Dosage and Administration
(V-Fib/Pulseless V-tach)
Adult Initial: 300mg IV/IO rapid push
Adult Second (after 1 defibrillation) : 150 mg IV/IO rapid push
Pedi: 5 mg/kg IV/IO rapid push (may repeat x2 between subsequent defibrillations
Dosage and Administration
(Stable V-tach with pulse)
150 mg IV/IO over 10 min (may repeat x1 if no response in 10 min)
5 mg/kg IV/IO over 20 min (may repeat x1 if no response in 10 min)
