Henry postponed the French campaign and made peace with France
Long term consequences
Wolsey humiliated and reputation badly damaged
Unable to raise anymore taxes whilst he remained Henry’s first minister
Failure of it showed that there were limitations to the kings power and he could no long raise taxes without consent of parliament
