Representative government is most important for me. I think the government should be based of the voice of the people. Everything should be done for the will of the people.

“It was called the great charter” King John I was forced to sign it do to a english nobility revolt against the monarch.

A

Charles I curbed abuses of monarchy in order for Parliament to provide financing for foriegn policy mishaps(30 year war)

No taxes can be levied without Parliament consent

  • No imprisonment without cause shown and lawful judgement of peers (habeas corpus)
  • Home owners are not commanded to house soldiers

A

What is the Electoral College; what are the pros and cons of having it?

A

(in the US) a body of people representing the states of the US, who formally cast votes for the election of the president and vice president.

large states pros: recieved delegates of Electoral College propotional to sizes (negative for smaller states)
State legislature selects delegates who are a part of the Electoral College
Smaller states the House of Representatives chooses the President if no one recieves a majority of the electoral votes.

A

A

Representation in the House of Representatives is based on population focused on state rights: equal representation in only one chapter.
It is different that the Virginia Plan because it changes the aspect of the Virginia Plan concerning representation)
