who was Emmitt Till?
A 14 year old African-American boy who was murdered in 1955 in Mississippi. By white men because he supposedly whistled at a white woman in a shop, they then followed him home and brutally beat him till he was dead.
His murderers were found innocent, and then they admitted to killing him. they also got money by doing so.
what happened at the Montgomery Bus Boycott
1) Rosa Parks refused to give her seat up for a white man, and was arrested and fined.
2) the WPC and MIA organise a bus boycott were African-Americans refused to use the bus until buses were desegregated
3) It lasted for 381 days, and bus profits dropped by 65%
