What is Sheehan’s Syndrome, what does it consist of?

A

Sheehan’s syndrome is a condition in which there is a pituitary gland infarction following a major obstetric haemorrhage. It results from hypotension associated with a major obstetric haemorrhage resulting in pituitary necrosis.
