11TH AMENDMENT
Can only sue a state whose laws apply to you. Foreign country can only sue the union of the United States.
12TH AMENDMENT
President and V.P must be on a single ballot. V.P candidate can not be president if he is only running for V.P
Electoral College- States choose president on our behalf.
House of Representatives choose president, congress votes as a back up, senate choose V.P.
13TH AMENDMENT
Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime.
14TH AMENDMENT
Citizenship all persons born or naturalized in the U.S. No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens. Equal protection of law. Sue state for violating your civil liberties. Not allowing civil liberties. Incorporation sue state over violation you liberties this allows you to do this.
15TH AMENDMENT
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude. Gives all males the right to vote.
16TH AMENDMENT
The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration.
17TH AMENDMENT
Senators chosen by state legislation are now voted for directly. We the people directly choose senators.
18TH AMENDMENT
Prohibition; outlawing of alcohol.
19TH AMENDMENT
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any state on account of sex. Gives women the right to vote.
20TH AMENDMENT
The terms of the President and Vice President shall end at noon on the 20th day of January, and the terms of Senators and Representatives at noon on the 3d day of January. The Congress shall assemble at least once in every year, and such meeting shall begin at noon on the 3d day of January
