Student of Paris Conservatoire from 1802. Early recognition came from premier of new violin concerto by Daniel Auber in 1807. Worked in theatre orchestra in Paris. First of several tours to Spain. Tours around 1820 - 1830. Later career focused on teaching. One of his operas was played for multiple nights at the Paris Opera-Comique.

Violinist and composer. Rachmaninov School of Music in 1929 - majored in violin. Went to Moscow Conservatory and studies composition with Vissarion Shebalin. 1931-1933 was music director, composer and conductor at “Theatre of satire” in Novosibirsk and concert master at “Romen” theatre in Moscow until 1936. Become musical director until 1939 at Dramatic Theatre in Tula. Directed dance and singing ensembles for entertainment of front line troops during WWII.
