Student of Paris Conservatoire from 1802. Early recognition came from premier of new violin concerto by Daniel Auber in 1807. Worked in theatre orchestra in Paris. First of several tours to Spain. Tours around 1820 - 1830. Later career focused on teaching. One of his operas was played for multiple nights at the Paris Opera-Comique.

A

father was wheelwright who played harp and sang at home. Haydn (6yrs) was sent to local town on Hainburg and enrolled in church school and received musical education. 1740 - strong vocal ability got him accepted into School of St Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna. His voice broke (16) and sent off.

Become musical director until 1939 at Dramatic Theatre in Tula. Directed dance and singing ensembles for entertainment of front line troops during WWII.
