A large place with similar plants animals and climates.
What is a climate?
The weather over a long period of time (30 years)
What is latitude?
Imaginary lines running from East to West around the world

What is hydraulic action?
Erosion caused by water hitting land
What is abrasion?
Erosion caused by water throwing rocks against the land
What’s a sea stack?
A column of rock standing in the sea
Explain the formation of a stack?
- Firstly a large crack is opened up by hydraulic action
- Then the crack goes into a cave by hydraulic action and abrasion
- After a while the cave breaks to the headland forming a natural arch
- Then the arch is eroded and collapses, this leaves a tall rock stack
