A

Set the altimeter to 29.92. The indicated altitude is the pressure altitude

How to calculate pressure altitude…

A

(This method is an estimate)

1- subtract current altimeter setting from 29.92

2- multiply the difference times 1000

3- to #2 above, add ( if the product is pos) or sub (if the product is neg) to the field elevation

4- the total from #3 above is the Pressure Altitude for that airport.

HYSTOtoxic- inability of cells to use oxygen
