Select an obstacle or object ahead in the road. When the vehicle in front of you passes it, count to two thousand by a thousand. If you pass the object before reaching two thousand you are too close. For trucks count to three or four thousand.

Change lanes or reduce speed and pull off road to let driver pass by.
