Food Intolerance
A reproductive adverse reaction with no immune system reaction; usually not severe and usually limited to digestive tract
Food Allergy
An immune response; hypersensitivity to any food accompanied by immunoglobulin E and non-IgE mediated reactions; happens in 8% of children
Symptoms of Allergies
Rash (atopic dermatities), hives, severe diaper rash, red cheeks, excessive pallor (pale skin)
GI Manifestations
Abdominal pain, vomiting, colic, diarrhea, constipations, swelling lips, tongue, gums
