O: medial 2/3 supraspinous fossa
I: upper facet on greater tubercle of humerus
A: adduction
I: suprascapular nerve C5,6
Infraspinatus
O: infraspinatus fossa (med 2/3)
I: mid facet of greater tubercle of humerus
A: lateral rotation
I: supraspinous nerve C5,6
Teres Minor
O: upper 2/3 lateral scapula
I: lower facet on greater tubercle
A: lateral rotation
I: axillary nerve C5,6
Trapezius
O: med 2/3 nuchal line, ligamentum nuchae, EOP, SP C7-T12, supraspinous ligaments
I: upper- anterior lateral 1/3 clavicle
Middle- medial acromion, superior lip of crest of spine of scapula
Lower- tubercle on spine of scapula
A: upper- elevate, middle- retract, lower- depress
I: spinal accessory nerve C2,3,4
Latissimus Dorsi
O: thoracolumbar fascia, SP T12-S5, supraspinous ligaments, inferior angle of scapula, outer surface of iliac crest, ribs 9-12
I: floor of bicipital groove
A: extends, adducts, medially rotates
I: thoracodorsal nerve C6,7,8
Rhomboid Minor
O: ligamentum nuchae, SP C7-T1
I: upper medial aspect of scapula
A: retract, medially rotate
I: dorsal scapular nerve C5
Rhomboid Major
O: SP T2-5, supraspinous ligaments
I: lower medial aspect of scapula
A: retracts, medially rotates
I: dorsal scapular nerve C5
Levator Scapulae
O: TP C1-4
I: upper medial aspect of scapula
A: elevate, retract, medially rotate
I: dorsal scapular nerve C5
Serratus Anterior
O: outer surface ribs 8-9, intercostal fascia
I: medial aspect of scapula
A: protracts, laterally rotates
I: long thoracic nerve 5,6,7
Pectoralis Minor
O: apex of coracoid process
I:: outer surface of ribs 3-5, intercostal fascia
A: protracts, medially rotates
I: medial and lateral pectoral nerve C6,7,8
Pectoralis Major
O: anterior med 1/3 clavicle, anterior sternum, 6th rib and upper 6 costal cartilages
I: bicipital groove, clavicular head inserts onto humerus inferior to groove
A: flexes, adducts, medially rotates
I: medial pectoral nerve C8,T1, lateral pectoral nerve C5,6,7
Subclavius
O: 1st rib
I: inferior clavicle
A: stabilises clavicle
I: nerve to subclavius C5,6
Coracobrachialis
O: apex of coracoid process
I: medial side shaft of humerus
A: adducts, flexes
I: musculocutaneous nerve C6,7
Teres Major
O: lower 2/3 lateral surface, inferior angle of scapula
I: medial lip of the bicipital groove
A: adducts, medially rotates
I: lower subscapular nerve C6,7
