“All” followed by a mass noun is indeclinable:
- He’s spent all his money.
When followed by a plural noun, both “all” and “alle” are possible:
- He burnt all his textbooks.

Whereas “all” is indeclinable in all cases, “alle” has the following case forms:
- They went to the fun-fair with all their small children.
- He no longer knows the names of all the neighbours’ children.
- Ninety per cent of all dentists recommend it.
- From all over the world.
