What does SETI stand for and what is it?

Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence
It’s a name for a series of projects that analyse radio waves coming from space. They look for signals possibly produced by intelligent beings. No messages have been detected so far

Describe methods used to gather evidence for life beyond Earth.
A
Space probes- some are orbiting Mars and have photographed channels created by flowing water in the past.
Rovers- also taken close up photographs of the rocks and soil but have not found any evidence.
Soil experiments by landers- look for chemical changes that living organisms could have changed.
