Who was Alexander VI
He was the Pope of italy, he was born Rodrigo Borgia im Spain in 1430, he studied in italy and went to the court of his uncle, pope calixtus III
What was a little about his appearance
He was fat,bald ,had a double chin and suffered from fainting fits.
How did he become pope
By promising jobs to people who voted for him but then didnt do it.
Why did he choose the name Alexander
Because he chose it in memory of Alexander the great, he then names his sin cesare after Julius Caesar
What things made him a bad pope?
He had children , popes arent supposed to get married or have children
- he used the church’s money to pay things and get things for their children
- he supported his son and helped him build his own state in central italy, much blood was shed
- got involved in politics
- he corrupt people
What made him a good pope
He helped brung peace to the fight of who would conquere america
-he owned and lot of books and invested in them
Why was his reputation not very good
He was wealthy but his reputation was dragged because he got involved in politics
Why did savonarola attack his court
Because it was so corrupt

What did he do for his ambitious son
In 1499, alexander allowed his son to build his own state in central italy. Much blood was shed, he joined forces with a new french army of invasion during 1501, on july 24 he entered the town, and in cold blood massacred 5,000 of its inhabitants, it was peobably the cruellest deed ever done in italy
