Cerebral Cortex
The area that controls thinking, decision-making, emotions, and the five senses.
Cerebellum
The part of the brain which controls many of the daily movements.
Medulla
Involuntary processes like breathing and maintaining body temperature.
Central Nervous System
A system made up of the brain spinal cord and nerves.
Hypothalamus
Many body processes like heart rate, or the feeling of hunger/thirst are controlled in this small area.
Hippocampus
The memory is controlled by this system.
How is the nervous system effected? What is it?
Drinking impairs the brain and other parts of the nervous system. It’s destroys nerve cells, causing blackouts, seizures, and dementia.
What happens to the digestive system?
Drinking can increase the risk of developing cancers in the mouth, esophagus and stomach. Potentially causing ulcers and injury to the lining of the stomach.
What are diseases that can happen to the digestive system?
Alcohol hepatitis, cirrhosis, risk of developing, pancreatitis, diabetes, pancreatic cancer. Also malnutrition.
What happens to the Immune System?
causing respiratory infections, tuberculosis, and certain cancers. Drinking can also result in the destruction of white blood cells.
What happens to the cardiovascular system?
high blood pressure, stroke, and cardiomyopathy. Drinking also results in blood vessels to widen, resulting in the loss of body heat and people can easily develop frostbite or hypothermia in cold weather.
What happens to the skeletal system?
Drinking can cause the body to lose calcium/ obtain osteoporosis.
What happens to the excretory system?
Alcohol increases urine flow and cause kidney failure.
What happens to the reproductive system?
delaying maturity, and normal maturation processes. I

0.08 to 0.10 in legally drunk
