Trismus (clenched teeth)
Croup
Patient is able to maintain their own airway.
Carcinoma of the upper respiratory tract
Unable to perform within 20 secs.
Basic techniques are working.

BVF CULPRITS

Vomiting/regurgatation

C-spine Abnormalities (flexion restricted).
Upper incisers prominant.
Long narrow mouth and high arched palate.

Insecure upper teeth.

A
I LOOK PISTE
Intubation of the right main bronchus.
Laryngeal Spasm.
Occlusion of the cuff against the carina.
Oesophageal Intubation.
Kinking of the tube.
Potentially occlusive reducing airway.
Induced Bradycardia/ Inability to perform.
