Class A
18,000’ msl up to 600(60,000) msl including overlying waters within 12 nm of the coast
IFR only
Class B
Surface to 10,000 msl around busiest airports
ATC clearance is required to operate in this area
Class C
Surface to 4,000’ msl
Extends 5 nm radius with a outer circle of 10 nm radius at 1,200-4,000’
ATC clearance required to operate in this area
Class D
Surface to 2,500 msl
ATC two way required
Class E
Airspace that is not classified as ABC or D.
