Describe the Runway Numbering System.

A
  • Runways are normally numbered in relation to their magnetic heading rounded off to the nearest 10 degrees. ex:(A runway heading of 250 degrees = Runway 25.)
  • If two runways have parallel center lines, the runway will be identified as L(left) or R(right). ex:(25L)
  • If 3 parallel runways exist, C (Center) is added.
