What is the purpose of voltage regulators on our alternators?

Answer 4

The voltage regulators ensure there is not a surge of power causing a potential fire. They keep the voltage coming at a max of 14 volts and have a over voltage relay. If it exceeds 17 volts the overvoltage relay kicks in. If this occurs the over voltage light will illuminate.

What type of Battery do we have?

12 volt battery with 35 amps. Provides current for starting the aircraft.
